LIFE LATELY: learning to take life one step at a time

October 3, 2018 Uncategorized

Hi there,

It’s been a minute but no excuse here, cant believe it’s October already I had so many plans for 2018 and I feel like time is running out and I’m not doing anything.

Today we are getting personal i’m sharing what I have been up to lately and things I want to stop doing, I hope someone can relate

  • I’m graduating university ?
  • Learning to improve my personal skills
  • Actively looking for creative jobs
  • Learning how to stop complaining about money and Nigeria

Early this year before final year started I had my life all planned out even when I knew it was going to be hard but I still planned anyways fast forward to October and I have not done half of what i planned to do, school work came hard and fast but we move I’m so happy we are almost done, hopefully that happens soon because this girl is tired.

I’m one of those everything must be perfect before I start kind of people which is why I’m learning to improve my personal skills but not showing people to criticise because of fear, trust me I know I’m supposed to let myself grow but it’s just hard especially when comparison gets in the mix but I’m trying to be better.

Lately I have applied for more than 10 creative jobs and most of them come back the same, it’s either they call for an interview, tell me i did well but still end up giving someone else or they just ignore my mail but I think it’s a sign that I need to learn more or something big and better is coming, I’m not even sure but I’m not giving up, currently i enjoy being part of a team and having deadlines to meet up with.

Slowly but gradually learning to stop saying I don’t have money and Nigeria is the cause of my problems because I have learnt that they are not, i am they only one responsible for my life.

Overall, I’m confused about what to do next (after school), over thinking everything, stressed about finals but I have decided to not come and go and kill myself.

I hope we all learn that life is not perfect but we can find ways to take it one step at a time

Any one who can relate or going through same let’s connect in the comment section.

Thank you for reading see you soon.

I like the part where you concluded that something bigger is coming, that\’s the spirit. If we, as humans could embrace that thought, bitterness, anger and resentment will reduce drastically. It\’s important we try our best, but what happens when our best isn\’t good enough? We hold on, there\’s a reason it\’s not happening, known to God alone.
And yes, everyone is responsible for his or her life. With the way Nigeria is, some people are making their cool cash, in this same Nigeria.
Things will definitely get better. It\’s necessary to take life one step at a time. It isn\’t that complex.

I know what it feels like to finally leave school. I bet you can\’t wait to be done already. As far as creative jobs go, consider approaching places you\’d really like to work for an opportunity to work without pay. Kinda like an internship. It can be a nice boost for your CV before it\’s time for NYSC.

Girl, relax. I totally understand cause I went through the same thing last month after my project defense. Everything will work well. Just write down all the plans you have and search for the smallest part time job even if you’d be paid little. Relax babe, you’ve got this.

The trick is to take it one step at a time. Carrying too many things all on at once can totally weigh you down and make you feel terrible. Keep holding hope and I like that you’ve decided to take charge of your life and not black anything or anyone. I am rooting for you girl.

Man, I wish I could get to that stage of not worrying. I worry so much about everything and nothing that I sometimes get panic attacks from worrying. It’s something I’m consistently praying over.

    Congrats on your graduation, girl.
Your blog pictures are pretty nice too
